When a collaboration has been assigned to you, you may action the collaboration to progress it through to completion.
In this example we are going to progress a document through a collaboration in order for it to be checked by colleagues before being signed.
We have been assigned to a collaboration task that asks us to check the content of the document "SOP For Review.pdf" to see if it matches our processes.
First we need to download the document. Clicking the Download button saves the file to our downloads folder, where we can open the PDF to read its contents.
Actioning a collaboration
Once we have checked the file, we can perform a few different actions:
Submit as Complete
Selecting Submit as Complete indicates that you are happy with the current state of the item. Once clicked, the collaboration will progress to the next stage as well as updating the collaboration feed with the relevant information. You may also add a comment before marking your task as complete.
If you are not happy that the document you are working with is correct, or you wish for the owner to make changes to the item, you can select Request Changes. This will mark the item as requiring changes and will send it back to the collaboration owner for them to make any necessary changes.
Upload a new version
If you are collaborating on a document, you also have the option to upload a new version of the file with any changes you may have made. Once the revision has been successfully uploaded, you can then mark your task as either Complete or Request Changes. Your uploaded document will then become the file subsequent users in the collaboration will work against.
Once you have performed your action, the collaboration will be removed from your assigned to me page.
